Position Description
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is recruiting for an experienced, productive, detail-oriented Term Limited Temporary (TLT) Logistics Senior Capital Projects Coordinator to join SPU's Logistic Division. The successful candidate will manage and support Logistics capital projects.
This Term Limited Temporary (TLT) opportunity is fully benefited and expected to last approximately 2 years in duration. This opportunity is open to all qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities
Primary Job Responsibilities of the TLT Logistics Senior Capital Projects Coordinator (Sr. CPC):
  • Perform core Sr. CPC work for the Logistics Division
  • Manage and support Logistics capital projects including seismic water and drainage material storage
  • Upgrade EV charging stations (west parking)
  • Grinder pump installation
  • Manage leasing spaces and secure services at non-SPU owned facilities
  • Flood Control back-up duties

Qualifications
Experience: Four (4) years of project or construction management or related experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning business or related field Administration or if no degree, candidates will need two (2) additional years of qualifying experience
Combinations of appropriate education, training, certification, and experience(s) will be evaluated on an individual basis for comparability.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with workforce facilities capital projects (e.g. interior remodels, locker room/shower facility upgrades, roof replacements, etc.)
  • Experience with capital project lifecycles from planning phases, engineering design, construction, and closeout
  • Familiarity with facilities asset management systems
  • Experience in cross-functional teams or matrixed organizations where coordination with various stakeholders were required
  • Knowledgeable about public works contracting and government procurement processes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering design documents including plans, specifications, and engineering reports

The full salary range for this position is $64.17 per hour - $74.86 per hour.
Workplace Environment (*Telework Expectation):
This temporary opportunity will require five (5) days in-office, Monday through Friday. Individual schedules will be agreed upon by the employee and their supervisor.
