Job description

POSITION SUMMARYย ย 

We areseekingapassionateand capable Logistics Associate to join our Supply Chain team. This role will support material movement, outbound shipments, and ERP system accuracy.ย ย 

The Logistics Associate will be tasked with receipt, stocking, inventory management, picking and data entry for materials to support Laboratory Operations and pre-clinical/tox/engineering and GMP manufacturing activities. The Logistics Associate will be responsible for the coordination and management of outgoing shipments to support both GMP as well as non-GMP Laboratory functions. This includes and is not limited to Drug Substance, Drug Product, Sterile Diluent, Vendor Material Returns, non-GMP Laboratory Samples, and other GMP samples.ย 

This position requires proactive cross-functional collaboration with several departments such as Process Sciences, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and the Quality Control Laboratories. The successful candidate will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate needs, resolve issues quickly, and deliver consistent, high-quality service-based experience. This requires someone with a strong customer service mindset who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and is highly organized/detail oriented.ย ย 

The role will also be required to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse activities and GMP governed shipments.ย ย 

This role will be onsite 5 days/week in Louisville, CO and may require weekend, evening, and/or holiday work as needed.ย 

ย 
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIESย 

Specific responsibilities include:ย ย ย ย 

Warehouse & Material Handlingย 

  • Correctly receive, stage, move, and distribute GMP and non-GMP materials throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility in a timely manner in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Prepare and kit manufacturing materials, ensuring complete and accurate kits are delivered to manufacturing according to production schedules.
  • Transfer raw materials, consumables, and components into manufacturing while maintaining full traceability and GMP compliance.
  • Perform material transactions within the ERP system, including receipts, transfers, issues, returns, and inventory adjustments.
  • Maintain organized warehouse locations and ensure materials are stored according to quality requirements and inventory control practices.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and periodic physical inventories to ensure inventory accuracy.ย 

Outbound Logisticsย 

  • Once trained, serve as main point of contact for outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate and execute the GMP and non-GMP packaging, documentation, labeling, and shipment of outbound materials.
  • Ensure shipments are in compliance with internal SOPs, GMP/GDP requirements, and applicable domestic and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal functions such as Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Lab Operations as well as external partners like couriers and receiving sites to ensure successful and timely shipment.
  • Maintain shipment documentation and records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintain current certifications for DOT/IATA shipping requirements
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and documentation related to outbound logistics and material movement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse, inventory, and shipping processes through standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.ย 

ERP System & Inventory Managementย 

  • Act as the site super userย for the ERP inventory management system.
  • Maintain accurate and timely inventory records
  • Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Support ERP testing, training, and continuous process improvements.
  • Generate inventory and logistics reports to support operational planning and compliance activities.ย 

Additional Responsibilitiesย 

  • Perform activities according to and in compliance with Umoja SOPs and Quality Systems
  • Schedule pickups, deliveries, and warehouse appointments; track shipments and proactively communicate status, delays, and exceptions.
  • Communicate pickup schedules and service updates with customers, drivers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Safely operate machinery such as forklifts and order pickers
  • Demonstrate proactive, service-oriented mindset and the ability to work effectively with cross functional partners. ย 
  • Monitor key performance indicators and solutions to ensure operational excellence, continuous improvement, and timely communications
  • Assist in creating dashboards and visual management systems as needed to ensure successful operations

  • All other duties as assignedย 

The successful candidate will have:ย 

  • A GED or equivalent degree with at least 4-6 years of experience in a Supply Chain/Warehouse/Inventory Role
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suiteย 

Preferred Qualifications:ย 

  • Experience operating in a cGMP environment
  • Experience with NetSuite or other Inventory management/ERP software
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and material traceability
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • DOT/IATA experience
  • Cold Chain Shipping experienceย 

Physical Requirements:ย ย ย ย 

  • Ability to work onsite 5 days/week at our Louisville, CO site.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on occasion
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move materials throughout the workday
  • Exposure to warehousing and manufacturing areas at +5C including storage freezer at -20C
  • Adherence to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as but not limited to safety vest, eye protection (when required), cold/cut proof gloves (when required), steel-toed shoes, manufacturing gowning, line harness, and fall protection.ย 

Hourly Range: $30.53 - $37.71 This role is non-exempt and is overtime eligible.ย
