Job description

Caring Transitions of Rochester MN is looking for a mover/driver to join our team. This individual is responsible for servicing moving project(s) that meets industry standards.

Driver/Mover – Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate moving trucks and company vehicles while transporting customer belongings to and from residential, commercial, and storage locations.
Load, unload, wrap, pad, and protect furniture, boxes, antiques, and fragile items with care and efficiency.
Provide exceptional customer service during moves, relocations, downsizing projects, estate cleanouts, and storage deliveries.
Work closely with team members to complete moves safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining a positive attitude.
Perform packing and unpacking services, including labeling, organizing, and staging items when needed.
Assist with senior relocation projects by demonstrating patience, professionalism, and compassion during emotionally sensitive transitions.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, moving equipment, dollies, straps, and pads to ensure safety and readiness.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of trucks, warehouse areas, storage vaults, and moving equipment.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, crew leaders, office staff, and customers throughout the moving process.
Follow all company safety procedures, lifting techniques, and driving regulations to minimize damages and workplace injuries.
Represent the company professionally at all times through appearance, punctuality, communication, and work ethic.
Assist with furniture assembly/disassembly, appliance setup, and placement of items according to customer instructions.
Handle problem-solving on-site while maintaining composure and delivering a high-quality customer experience.
Support warehouse operations, inventory organization, and storage container management when needed.
Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, accountability, and strong attention to detail in all job duties.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
Previous moving, delivery, warehouse, logistics, or labor experience is a plus but not required
Ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture and boxes throughout the day
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be dependable, punctual, and professional
Experience driving box trucks or trailers is a plus
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends
Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
Positive attitude and strong work ethic required
