Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE
This role will be responsible for managing the warehouse's day-to-day operational activities of a cold storage facility, including the movement of inventory and resources, and the proper scheduling of employees. This role will also oversee the facility's safety and security programs, ensuring the company's performance, housekeeping, equipment, and security standards are consistently being met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
๏ฟฝ Assign work, set completion dates, review work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes
๏ฟฝ Partner with sales, inventory control, and operations support to ensure availability of products
๏ฟฝ Facilitate the achievement of prescribed company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding cost, productivity, customer service, profits, and team members. Analyze operational reports to identify trends and recommend solutions to management
๏ฟฝ Perform long-term labor forecasting based on sales forecasts and input from management
๏ฟฝ Cultivate a culture of productivity, belonging and responsibility. Communicate company goals and vision, objectives, and direction to warehouse staff
๏ฟฝ Establish an environment of teamwork, employee involvement/empowerment, fairness, and consistency. Promote the Open Door Philosophy.
๏ฟฝ Operate the facility in compliance with health, safety, and environment regulations which establishes a culture of safety
๏ฟฝ Build and maintain partnerships with other departments across the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS
๏ฟฝ Strong leadership skills, with emphasis on guiding and developing a team, customer service, communications, and planning
๏ฟฝ 5 years warehouse management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
๏ฟฝ Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
๏ฟฝ Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees of the organization
๏ฟฝ Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
๏ฟฝ Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
