Logistics Coordinator


The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing daily shipments, driver assignments, and warehouse operations. This role ensures smooth scheduling, accurate payroll processing, and compliance with safety and inspection standards while supporting overall transportation and logistics functions.


Essential Functions:

  • Shipment Registration: Accept and register new shipments.
  • Crew Dispatch: Assign crews and drivers daily to maximize workload efficiency.
  • Driver Coordination: Work with corporate teams to ensure shipments are assigned and picked up.
  • Payroll & Onboarding: Process weekly payroll and new hire paperwork.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in recruiting over‑the‑road (OTR) drivers.
  • Fuel Log Audits: Audit fuel logs weekly for accuracy.
  • Warehouse Oversight: Keep warehouse and lot clean, orderly, and inspection‑ready.
  • Equipment Logs: Maintain records for local equipment and trucks.


Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Previous logistics or transportation experience preferred.
  • Prior managerial or supervisory experience required.
