Description

The Logistics Support Specialist supports day-to-day inventory management, supply operations, and data accuracy within Oracle EBS Inventory and related supply systems. This role performs hands-on inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventory reconciliation, sub-inventory reviews, transaction validation, material status updates, and correction of inventory discrepancies. The Supply Technician helps ensure that on-hand balances, item locations, inventory records, and movement history remain accurate, current, and traceable.

In support of broader supply chain and modernization efforts, the Logistics Support Specialist   also assists with enterprise-level Item Master maintenance and legacy data cleanup. This includes identifying stale, duplicate, invalid, or inconsistent item records; researching discrepancies; coordinating corrections; and supporting data remediation activities that improve inventory visibility and reporting quality. Through accurate data entry, disciplined reconciliation, and attention to detail, the Supply Technician helps strengthen inventory integrity, reduce operational friction, and support reliable material availability for mission and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on inventory management activities using Oracle EBS Inventory and related supply systems.
  • Support cycle counting, physical inventory reconciliation, sub-inventory reviews, material status updates, and inventory transaction validation.
  • Review inventory records for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and traceability across item, location, quantity, and movement data.
  • Identify, research, and help resolve stale, duplicate, invalid, outdated, or inconsistent records within an enterprise-level Item Master.
  • Support legacy data remediation efforts to improve inventory data quality, reporting accuracy, and material visibility.
  • Assist with data normalization, standardization, and cleanup of large-scale inventory catalogs, item records, and supply data sets, when applicable.
  • Support accurate tracking and management of specialized manufacturing components, high-precision spare parts, controlled materials, or mission-critical inventory, when applicable.
  • Help standardize National Stock Number (NSN), part number, item description, unit of measure, and related catalog data across inventory records and systems, when applicable.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, supply, production, logistics, and data management personnel to validate inventory information and resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience using Oracle EBS Inventory to support inventory control, cycle counting, physical reconciliation, inventory adjustments, and sub-inventory management.
  • Experience reviewing inventory records, validating item data, researching discrepancies, and correcting records to improve inventory accuracy and reporting.
  • Technical experience supporting legacy inventory data remediation, including identifying and resolving stale, invalid, duplicate, outdated, or inconsistent records within an enterprise-level Item Master or large inventory catalog.
  • Ability to work with warehouse, supply, logistics, production, and data management teams to validate inventory information and support accurate, traceable inventory records.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with specialized manufacturing components, high-precision spare parts, controlled materials, or mission-critical inventory.
  • Experience supporting data normalization, item record standardization, catalog cleanup, or large-scale inventory data quality initiatives.
  • Experience standardizing National Stock Number (NSN), part number, item description, unit of measure, or related catalog data across inventory records and systems.
  • Experience supporting inventory operations in industrial manufacturing, federal production, defense, logistics, supply chain, or high-security environments.
