This role is based at ICON's Austin, TX campus and reports to the Logistics Senior Manager within the Operations team.
Job Description
ICON is seeking a Logistics Analyst to manage end-to-end fleet operations and dispatching for raw materials, FormCrete, and 3D printer equipment and components. The ideal candidate brings fleet management experience - including commercial driver oversight, DOT compliance, and vehicle uptime with preventative maintenance-paired with system-based dispatch coordination skills that keep print operations running without interruption. You will manage material truck dispatching, optimize recharge workflows at refill stations, and coordinate bulk tanker logistics, all while maintaining real-time visibility for customer project teams. This role is based at ICON's Austin, TX campus and reports to the Logistics Senior Manager within the Operations team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Dispatch refill trucks from refill stations to customer jobsites on schedules aligned to active print operations, managing delivery timing with customer print schedules to avoid crew idle time and site congestion.
  • Oversee FormCrete discharge at customer sites, where RT operators discharge directly into volumetric mixers without stopping prints, and monitor and optimize the truck recharge workflow at refill stations (target: arrival to departure ≤30 min).
  • Confirm material availability at refill stations with material operations before dispatching; dispatch flex trucks for secondary deliveries (reinforcement spools/rebar, lintels, outlet sleeves, bond beam kits) per customer print bills of material.
  • Track all deliveries in real time and provide proactive updates to customer project teams; coordinate bulk tanker operations for concentrate material transport to and from batch plants and mobile batch plants.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor transport of raw materials and printer components to project sites nationwide, optimizing routes and schedules to reduce costs and improve reliability.
  • Coordinate shipments with carriers, vendors, and ICON field teams for on-time, cost-efficient delivery; track transportation performance metrics and resolve delays, damage, or routing conflicts.
  • Manage preventive and corrective maintenance for all fleet vehicles and rolling stock; implement and manage fleet telematics including GPS tracking, geofencing, driver behavior, vehicle diagnostics, and fuel management.
  • Procure, lease, and lifecycle-manage fleet vehicles; coordinate with product programs on vehicle/asset specs and procurement timelines; manage fleet fuel, parts, and consumables inventory and costs.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet ICON brand and safety standards-clean, well-maintained, and professional at all times; track and report fleet KPIs including utilization, inbound/outbound metrics, maintenance cost per vehicle, fuel efficiency, and driver safety scores.
  • Maintain DOT compliance: driver qualification files, CDL medical certificates, HOS logs, vehicle inspections, and DVIR compliance; assist with CDL driver onboarding, training, and ongoing certification.
  • Ensure compliance with USDOT, TXDOT, TXDMV, OSHA, and internal safety standards.
  • Build relationships with customers, project managers, site leads, and operations teams to anticipate needs and reduce bottlenecks; partner with Finance and Operations leadership to track logistics costs, support budgets, and deliver performance reports-tracking budget to actuals and ensuring Service Level Agreements are met.
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements in scheduling, routing, or customer and vendor coordination; align logistics activities with project timelines across internal teams and external customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, bills of lading, asset movement, and fleet documentation; use internal systems (ERP, Oracle NetSuite, Samsara, Smartsheet, Foundry, or similar) for tracking, automation, and reporting.
  • Implement automated equipment and inventory tracking to enable visibility across ICON assets; manage dispatch data analysis, fleet utilization reporting, route optimization metrics, and delivery KPI tracking.
  • Maintain the department's daily operating rhythm-dispatch schedules, fleet scorecards, and cost reporting-and support audits and compliance checks with organized records.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, fleet management, transportation planning, or dispatch coordination-preferably in construction, manufacturing, or technology fields.
  • Bachelor's in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field; or significant related professional experience.
  • Experience managing fleet maintenance programs and vehicle lifecycle operations.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulatory compliance, including driver qualification files and HOS management.
  • Track record coordinating time-sensitive deliveries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with fleet management or telematics platforms (e.g., Samsara, Verizon Connect, LogRock) and working knowledge of ERP systems and logistics tracking software.
  • Strong skills in logistics data analysis and reporting; comfortable building dashboards and KPI scorecards.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, load planning, and material handling best practices.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple concurrent shipments and priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental and customer-facing work.
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with ability to anticipate challenges and make decisions under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including extended hours when needed.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with logistics on large-scale construction sites, warehousing, or industrial projects.
  • Understanding of USDOT, TXDOT, and TXDMV rules and regulations.
  • Ability to assess basic vehicle mechanical issues and coordinate field repairs.
  • Experience with 3PL coordination and bulk material transport.
  • Familiarity with construction bills of material handover workflows and jobsite delivery logistics.
