Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities, and requirements:

  • Logistics execution of strategic and spot sourcing of all grades of fuel to ensure adequate supply levels across a geographic area that is part of a 5,000+ store network.
  • Execute cost objectives including pricing and arbitrage decisions to maximize profits.
  • Research carrier compliance towards objectives and provide reporting on compliance decisions.
  • Allocation and strategy execution for internal and 3rd party carriers.
  • Track and report pacing towards contracted supply volumes to ensure partnerships with suppliers are nurtured and preserved.
  • Supply change and disruption strategies including coordinating supply constraint mitigation, assisting in loading issue resolution, and actively requesting supply gap volumes.
  • Tracking and reporting terminal downtime, including terminal scorecards, demurrage cost, and allocation constraints.
  • Uses analytics to make decisions and has the acumen to defend presented numbers within the organization and beyond.
  • Works to build strong partnerships with internal partners.
  • Supports the Director of Logistics Supply Operations in achieving department targets and goals as well as building structure and cohesiveness on the team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 - 7 years' experience working in supply chain operations planning, logistics or transportation dispatch department.
  • 1-2 years internal experience with a current "exceeds expectation" performance rating.
  • Leadership skills. The ability to coach and mentor new and less experienced team members in the day-to-day aspects of the position.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be comfortable and effective in communicating and presenting to Sr. Leaders.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Computer literate in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
