GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking an Operations Manager in Lorton, VA.
Position Overview:We are seeking an Operations Manager who will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and overseeing the day-to-day execution of logistics, maintenance, repair, procurement, and warehouse operations supporting the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Integrated Logistics Division (ILD). The Operations Manager will ensure operational excellence, contract compliance, workforce effectiveness, and timely delivery of mission-critical services that sustain CBP's border security technologies.
About the Mission: The Integrated Logistics Division (ILD) provides lifecycle logistics, maintenance, and sustainment support for the critical border security technologies that enable CBP's frontline operations. ILD ensures the operational readiness, reliability, and availability of interdiction, inspection, detection, surveillance, and related enforcement systems deployed across U.S. Ports of Entry and border environments.
Through centralized logistics management the ILD delivers repair, testing, warehousing, inventory management, and technical support services that maximize equipment availability and mission effectiveness in support of CBP's border security mission.
Our team will support the ILD by providing the skilled personnel and procurement services. We will perform repair activities, procure and manage repair parts, consumables, and accessories, and provide comprehensive warehouse operations including receiving, documentation, storage, inventory control, and distribution of border security surveillance equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the ILD, ensuring efficient execution of repair, logistics, procurement, and warehouse activities.
  • Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams responsible for equipment repair, testing, inspection, logistics, inventory management, receiving, storage, shipping, and distribution.
  • Ensure timely repair, refurbishment, and return-to-service of CBP border security technologies to maximize operational readiness and system availability.
  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, documentation, inventory control, material handling, storage, shipping, and accountability of government-furnished equipment and contractor-acquired materials.
  • Manage procurement activities for repair parts, consumables, tools, test equipment, and accessories required to sustain CBP technology systems.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to mission-critical support services.
  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to manage operational risks, staffing requirements, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with Government representatives regarding operational priorities, repair status, inventory availability, and mission requirements.
  • Prepare operational reports, dashboards, performance metrics, and status briefings for company leadership and Government stakeholders.

Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be U.S. Citizen
  • Must be eligible to acquire a fully adjudicated Background Investigation (BI).

Experience
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience is required in organizing, directing, and managing contract logistics and maintenance operations support functions and multiple complex and inter- related project tasks.
  • Serving as the primary operational liaison with Government personnel, coordinating daily priorities, resolving operational issues, and maintaining effective customer relationships.
  • Leading daily operational planning, scheduling, and execution of logistics, maintenance, procurement, and warehouse operations.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality management systems, inventory control procedures, and asset accountability requirements.
  • Supporting Government property management programs and maintaining accurate operational records and documentation for audits, inspections, and contract reporting.
  • Promoting and enforcing workplace safety, environmental compliance, and physical security requirements.
  • Managing repair, maintenance, logistics, procurement, and warehouse operations.
  • Preparing operational reports, performance metrics, and status briefings
  • Ensuring compliance with all contractual requirements, federal regulations, and organizational policies
