Primary ResponsibilitiesJob Title: Sr. Regional Inventory Manager Position Summary:The Sr. Inventory Manager is the strategic lead for Inventory Control ("IC") - setting direction, building process, and holding the function accountable to performance at scale. This role operates at two altitudes: owning KPI health, process strategy, and enterprise initiative execution while serving as the intermediary between DC operations and senior leadership at the corporate level. The Sr. Inventory Manager is accountable not just for their own output but for the collective performance and development of every IC team member. The right candidate thinks strategically, operates cross-functionally, and can walk a DC floor in the morning and present to an Executive Director in the afternoon with equal credibility.Essential FunctionsKey Responsibilities:Regional Inventory Health and KPI Ownership

    • Review large adjustments exceeding $1,000 daily, providing oversight on RCA quality and ensuring DC IC Managers are driving corrective action.
    • Review previous adjustments for coding accuracy and cycle count progress, holding team reporting standards.
    • Monitor regional UDR, VFR, Donation, Salvage, and Liquidation pipelines daily, identifying disposition backlogs and driving resolution through DC IC Manager accountability.
    • Deliver monthly inventory health recaps to the Director of Inventory Management, presenting multi-site trend analysis, performance against KPI targets, and forward-looking recommendations.
    Strategy, Process, and Regional Execution
    • Own the development and continuous improvement of IC processes and strategies across the DC, building scalable, data-driven solutions that address root cause rather than surface-level symptoms.
    • Serve as the process champion for all IC SOPs, ensuring consistent adoption, holding team accountable to adherence, and evolving standards as the operation changes.
    • Monitor KPI and KPA performance, driving resolution on underperforming sites through structured improvement planning and direct support as needed.
    • Scope and implement solutions to regional operational opportunities collaboratively with DC IC Managers, developing their strategic thinking alongside their execution capability.
    • Drive process improvement initiatives and enterprise IC "Big Rock" projects from scoping through implementation, presenting progress and impact to Executive leadership with full accountability for outcomes.
    Corporate & Executive Partnership
    • Serve as the primary intermediary between DC-level IC operations and corporate leadership, translating regional inventory performance into clear, data-backed narratives that drive executive-level decision making.
    • Represent the regional IC function with authority and executive presence in corporate-driven meetings and ad hoc site leadership engagements.
    • Lead cross-functional IC initiatives involving corporate and DC partners, managing stakeholder alignment and driving initiatives to measurable completion.
    Team Development & Mentorship
    • Act as the direct mentor for DC IC associates within the region, supporting their development through structured IDPs, weekly connects, and bi-monthly career planning with the Director of Inventory Management.
    • Build cross-functional relationships with DC IC leadership and senior site leaders across the region, establishing the trust and credibility required to influence outcomes without direct authority.
    • Model and reinforce the IC leadership philosophy across the region, holding every level of the team accountable to accountability, interoperability, and data-driven decision making.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, AptitudeQualifications:
    • Associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated work experience, preferred.
    • 7+ years of progressive inventory control leadership experience within a high-volume, multi-DC distribution environment, including direct management of site-level IC managers.
    • Proven track record of building and implementing IC strategy at scale, including SOP development, process improvement, and enterprise initiative rollout with measurable outcomes.
    • Prior people management experience required, with demonstrated ability to develop IC leaders and hold managers accountable to KPI performance across a distributed team.
    • Proven ability to influence outcomes across organizational levels without positional authority, from DC operations to corporate senior leadership.
    • Executive presentation skills required; this role regularly prepares and delivers data-backed inventory performance narratives to Director and Executive Director-level audiences.
    • Proficiency in Power BI or equivalent data visualization tools required; deep WMS proficiency required; NTS experience strongly preferred.
    Preferred Skills:
    • Demonstrated ability to identify cross-DC inventory patterns and build regional corrective strategies grounded in data rather than anecdote.
    • Experience leading enterprise-wide cross-functional initiatives with corporate and DC stakeholder involvement.
