Floral Inventory Manager Location: The Olana Design Center
Position Type: Full-TimeJob Overview:

The inventory Manager at The Design Haus This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of event inventory and leading our strike (post-event breakdown) team. From managing the flow of rental and floral inventory in and out of our warehouse, to ensuring efficient, smooth, and timely event breakdowns, this position plays a vital role in the success of our events.


Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Oversee and maintain organization of all inventory, including hard goods, florals, vessels, and rental items
  • Develop and implement inventory tracking systems to reduce loss and increase efficiency
  • Ensure event inventory is properly prepared for delivery and accurately returned
  • Help Schedule, lead, and manage the strike team for all post-event breakdowns and returns
  • Serve as primary point of contact for strike crew communications and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate with design and warehouse teams to ensure inventory availability for upcoming events
  • Assist with truck loading/unloading logistics and warehouse organization as needed
  • Conduct routine inventory audits and support reorder/restock processes
  • Train and onboard new strike team members and seasonal support staff
  • Fleet Management 
  • Work closely with the Floral Managers to ensure that client expectations are understood and exceeded.
  • Address any operational issues or questions that may arise during events to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure that operations stay within budget. Work with the Floral Director to forecast budgets for upcoming projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Maintain a safe working environment for all staff and oversee the proper handling of flowers and equipment
  • Help inventory incoming floral when receiving

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years in inventory management, warehouse leadership, or logistics preferred
  • Prior team management experience strongly preferred, ideally in events or hospitality
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in fast-paced warehouse/event environments
  • ability to climb a ladder
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
