JOB SUMMARY

The Logistics Inventory Manager monitors all operations including but not limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork, communicate freight status and dispatch drivers for pickup. The supervisor will be the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, system operations and vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.

Essential Functions
  • Responsible for ongoing process analysis of operational systems, procedures, and staffing to drive continuous improvement in operating efficiencies. Assist District Manager with general tasks
  • Cycle counting
  • Excel a MUST
  • Responsible for ensuring safe operations as well as compliance with all OSHA regulations, all applicable laws, and Pilot’s Corporate Policies
  • Effectively train, supervise, coach and evaluate all direct reports to foster good communications and morale
  • Reviews operational key performance measures monthly as well as benchmarking data to drive any required correctional or improvement strategies
  • Communicating freight status and any problems to customers, vendors and other Pilot stations and personnel
  • Freight handling via forklift
  • Load/Off-load build trucks for optimal routing
  • Other duties as assigned
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
  • Customerservice background preferred

Pay Range

$75,000 to $80,000 per year

Working Hours

Monday - Friday 7am to 4:30pm

Star note: The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
