Director of Supply ChainConfidential Client of Peskind Executive Search

A confidential client of Peskind Executive Search is seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead and optimize all aspects of supply chain operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This leadership role will oversee sourcing, procurement, inventory control, production planning, logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations while driving strategic initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality improvement, and long-term scalability.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience across supply chain management, production forecasting, ERP/MRP systems, vendor negotiations, and logistics execution within a manufacturing or food production environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all supply chain operations including purchasing, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and distribution
  • Develop and execute strategic supply chain initiatives to improve operational efficiency, quality, and productivity
  • Direct supplier sourcing, cost negotiations, and vendor management to maintain competitive positioning and operational continuity
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary
  • Oversee accuracy and maintenance of ERP/MRP systems including inventory control, labor reporting, RFQ processes, and production planning
  • Partner with Sales and Operations leadership to forecast production requirements based on historical data and sales projections
  • Optimize production schedules while balancing inventory levels, customer demand, and operational costs
  • Lead and mentor supply chain team members while driving accountability and performance
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, GMP standards, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and food safety requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain and manufacturing operations
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience within supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations management
  • Strong background in manufacturing, food production, consumer goods, or related industrial environments preferred
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production forecasting
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, inventory management, and logistics optimization
  • Strong analytical, operational, and leadership capabilities
  • Knowledge of GMP, OSHA, SQF, and food safety standards highly preferred
