Job description

Customer Service Lab Processor

Work location: Texas Health Physicians Group- 251 Westpark Way, Suite 212 Euless, TX 76040

Work Hours: Full Time - Nights, 40 hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30pm - 4:30am

Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices located throughout the DFW Metroplex.

What you'll need  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Six (6) months of customer service experience or six (6) months experience in a high-volume testing laboratory and data entry experience are required.
  • Familiar with basic medical and laboratory terminology is preferred.
  • Knowledge of appropriate lab and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to: CLIA, CAP, CLSI (NCCLS), Texas Department of Health, EPA regulations regarding regulated waste disposal.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet software such as but not limited to: Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

What you'll do

  • Answers the main lab line and provides customer service assistance to the caller. Document all calls on appropriate log.
  • Research problem orders from the night before and provides necessary corrective action. Documents all actions taken on problem log.
  • Pull samples for add-on testing and ensure proper paperwork is received from
