Locum - Physician - Urology in Tacoma, WA
Summary: St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Anthony Hospital, and St. Clare Hospital are seeking full-time Urology locum coverage for up to 9 months. This role involves cross-credentialing to provide call coverage at all three locations, with call shifts varying between the facilities. Join a dedicated team in a supportive inpatient setting that prioritizes patient care.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide urological care to patients, including diagnosis and treatment.
  • Perform required procedures such as cystoscopy, lithotripsy, and nephrectomy.
  • Participate in on-call duties with a response time of less than 30 minutes.
  • Collaborate effectively with support staff and other physicians.
  • Manage a caseload of 6-8 consults per day with the help of APPs for inpatient rounding.
  • Complete documentation using EPIC EMR system.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified in Urology (Required)
  • Washington state medical license (Highly Preferred)
  • BLS certification (Required)
  • Clean malpractice and background check (Highly Preferred)
  • Local candidates preferred; no flights required (Highly Preferred)
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active Washington medical license or licensing in process (Required)
  • Board Certification in Urology (Required)
  • BLS certification (Required)
  • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days (Required)
