Locum Radiologist Opportunity in Springfield, MA
Join a dedicated team at a leading healthcare facility in Springfield, Massachusetts, where Mercy Medical Center offers both hospital and outpatient locations. You will be part of a dynamic practice setting with an average of variable cases per day. The facility serves a diverse patient demographic ranging from adolescents to geriatrics, and utilizes advanced documentation systems including Epic, PowerScribe, and PACS. The radiology team currently consists of eight professionals, with an anticipated reduction to six after February. Start your journey as a locum radiologist as soon as you're credentialed!
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures and interpretations.
  • Collaborate with a full complement of support staff to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Manage a diverse range of cases, including Nuclear Radiology.
  • Utilize EMR systems for documentation and patient records.
  • Participate in team discussions and consults to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology (required).
  • Active Massachusetts medical license or pending application with submission date and estimated approval (required).
  • ACLS and BLS certifications (required).
  • Prior experience or demonstrated interest in Nuclear Radiology (required).
  • Payment of a $25,000 conversion fee (required).
  • Self-Query NPDB, pulled within the month at the time of presentation (required).
License and Certification Requirements:
  • Active license in Massachusetts (MA) - non-compact state.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
