Job description
Western Veterinary Partners is seeking a regional Locum Veterinarian in Phoenix. This is a full-time or part-time position that is perfect for doctors easily connect with diverse teams and would find fulfillment having a dynamic caseload. It's also a great opportunity for DVMs who enjoy traveling, working mothers, retirees, or doctors who aren't interested in full-time scheduling.
We're looking to hire a veterinarian who will easily adapt to each hospital's culture/needs and has hands-on experience working with small animals. To be considered for the role, you must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in Arizona.
As you rotate through our locations, you'll primarily find yourself at small animal GPs, and although each of our locations are different, excellent medicine and well-trained support staff are a staple of them all.

Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates
- Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
- Active Arizona veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
Preferred
- Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
- Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
- Leadership experience or interest in veterinary leadership
- Strong communication, mentorship, and client relationship skills
