Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist Needed

Start Date: 08-01-2025 Reason for Coverage: Vacancy- Long-Term Permanent Search End Date: 01-31-2026 Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call EMR System: Epic/Aria Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient Patients Per Shift: 15 visits/ave.25 on Tx Does your Facility require physicians to be board certified?: Yes What is the license requirement to bid?: Licensed in MN only Estimated Credentialing Timeframe (Days): 90

We are looking for locum coverage for a busy Radiation Oncology practice due to the retirement of a long-term physician. This is a two-physician practice, we are looking for 3 day a week coverage (0.6 FTE) to be worked generally in a stretch to complement our remaining Radiation Oncologist. 50/50 call split for consultation in the hospital. Physicians overlap in clinic generally on Wednesday, that is when chart rounds are conducted with the Radiation Oncology team. Each day consists of 10-15 clinic visits (including OTVs) with an average of 25 patients on the for treatment each day. We have a team of skilled Radiation Therapists as well as RNs to keep our practice flowing smoothly. We have on-site dosimetry full-time with a pay-per-plan model in place for high volume times when turnaround time is important. We have hybrid physics with a talented group of physicists on-site every-other-week and available at all other times remotely. We have on-site CT sim, and we are situated as a part of the hospital campus where CT, PET, and MRI are available. We are an ACS Commission on Cancer certified Cancer Center and conduct multidisciplinary tumor boards every Thursday, we would welcome participation from our Locum colleagues. We share a suite with Medical Oncology and Infusion Therapy and enjoy a close relationship that allows for seamless care for our patients.
