California Premier Pain Clinics is looking for a part-time or full-time Medical Assistant to join our medical office. Must be willing to work weekends.ย 


  • Candidates should have exceptional people and communication skills, be highly skilled in multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, a commitment to achieving a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and a no-task-too-small approach to the work.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures including surgery procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
  • Skill in maintaining records and recording test results
  • Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public
  • Ability to maintain quality control standards including, but not limited to confidentiality
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
  • Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Knowledge of interrelationship of surgery department with laboratory and radiology
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information
  • Skill in operating a computer, photocopy machine, fax and other office equipment
  • Skill in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, coworkers and the publicResponsibilities
  • This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management
  • May perform selected nursing and administrative duties, such as referrals and authorizations
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment
  • Take patient vital signs
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Give injections, apply splints and dressings
  • Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization
  • Assist physicians in preparing for minor surgeries, physicals
  • Screen telephone calls for referral to physician or provider
  • Relay provider communications to patients by phone or mail

Requirements
