About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Pediatrics MD in Virginia!

We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician for a 120-day assignment in Virginia, starting Aug 24, 2026. This role involves performing procedures for metabolic emergencies and newborn screening, with a consistent schedule from 8am to 5pm, providing critical care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform procedures related to metabolic emergencies and newborn screening.
  • Manage outpatient clinic cases, including general pediatric genetics and pediatric metabolic genetics patients.
  • Handle inpatient and consultation services for metabolic emergencies.
  • Interpret abnormal newborn screening results.
  • Conduct inpatient genetics consultations.
  • Address positive newborn screenings.
  • Evaluate and treat suspected inherited metabolic disorders.
  • Care for patients with known metabolic disorders.
