Job Description
TinkBird Healthcare Staffing is actively seeking a Locum Tenens MD/DO Cardiologist for a correctional medicine opportunity in Butner, North Carolina. This role offers a low-volume, consultative cardiology practice within a structured correctional healthcare environment with flexible scheduling.
Position Details
Job Type: Locum Tenens

Clinical Responsibilities
Provide cardiology consultation within a correctional healthcare setting
Evaluate and manage patients with cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart failure, and related disorders
Review diagnostic testing including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress testing, and laboratory results
Develop treatment plans and coordinate specialty referrals when appropriate
Provide ongoing chronic disease management and follow-up care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Requirements
MD or DO required
Active North Carolina medical license required/preferred based on facility requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology preferred
Strong diagnostic and consultative cardiology experience preferred
Ability to work independently in a correctional medicine environment
