Job description

Overhead Door Company of Kansas City, a DH Pace Company, Inc., aspires to hire a Locksmith. This is a great position for someone who is detail oriented, great with math, and can perform basic repairs related to hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Perform basic diagnostics and repairs related to hollow metal doors, frames, and hardware 
  • Pinning cones, re-pin/re-key cylinders 
  • Engrave material, package for shipping 
  • Read production codes 
  • Cut and issue new keys on key cut machines including high security systems: Schlage, Medeco, and Best 
  • Operate a variety of equipment and machines, including key duplicating equipment and various hand or power tools 

Job Qualifications: 

  • Reasonable knowledge of all types of locks, fastening devices and related hardware 
  • Physical ability to lift 100 pounds independently; the ability to bend, climb, and stand for an extended amount of time 
  • Experience with master key systems is a plus 
  • Possess a valid driver's license
