Job Title:  Locksmith Technician
Reports To: General Manager or Franchise Owner
Key Areas of Responsibility:    
The Lead Locksmith Technician position is an integral part of FlyLock Security Solutions Seattle and is key to the growth of the company. All Locksmiths must have the ability to work well in a high-paced working environment. The individual must work well as part of the team and independently from the FlyLock owner. The Locksmith position is a hands-on technical position geared toward an individual who has a technical mindset. Ideal candidates will have locksmithing knowledge and demonstrate the ability to learn new technical methods and techniques.
 The responsibilities of a FlyLock Security Solutions Locksmith consist of the following:
  • Ability to perform emergency work orders, for commercial clients only.
  • Ability to install, repair, and maintain Commercial and Residential hardware.
  • Ability to install, repair, and maintain Access Control Hardware
  • Ability to install and modify hardware for locks.
  • Ability to create and maintain master key systems.
  • Residential & Commercial Lock re-keying/ Perform Pining of locks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot with a variety of variables in situations.
  • Ability to clean, maintain, adjust, calibrate & service equipment used.
  • Ability to read operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and make recommendations to commercial clients.
 Operations Support:
  • Receive verbal instructions from Management or Clients/Customers.
  • Perform small projects as directed by Management.
  • Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time.
 Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in technical hands-on field experience in locksmithing, access control, door hardware, and other skilled trades.
  • Good relationship-building skills with a diverse population including all customers’ partners, technicians, and all other company employees.
  • Good verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple functions at the same time.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of working effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to work safely on ladders.
  • Ability to drive in compliance with company vehicle policy.
  • Provide a high level of timely & accurate customer service.
  • Communicates effectively with the client to determine what services are needed.
  • Respond to general inquiries from customers/clients.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to fluently understand, speak, and write English.
