Job description

ProSync is seeking passionate Locksmith to install, repair, adjust, and maintain a wide range of locking devices, security hardware, and access‑control components in support of government facilities. This position ensures the physical security and integrity of buildings, restricted areas, and controlled spaces by providing expert‑level lock and key services in accordance with established security policies and technical standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, repair, and maintain a wide range of locking systems, including mechanical locks, electronic locks, padlocks, door hardware, and secure‑area access devices.
  • Service, repair, and inspect GSA‑approved security containers, vault doors, and secure storage equipment in accordance with federal physical security requirements.
  • Install, operate, and maintain Kaba Mas / X‑Series locks (e.g., X‑09, X‑10, CDX‑09, CDX‑10) and other approved high‑security locking mechanisms.
  • Perform combination changes, lock re‑cores, and keying adjustments for secure storage containers, restricted areas, and controlled spaces.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning locks, cylinders, cores, and electronic locking components.
  • Install and service door hardware such as hinges, closers, panic bars, strike plates, and access‑control interfaces.
  • Respond to lockouts, access issues, and urgent repair requests to restore secure entry or egress.
  • Maintain strict key control, including issuance, tracking, accountability logs, and secure storage of keys and combinations.
  • Conduct inspections of locking devices and secure storage equipment to identify wear, damage, or security vulnerabilities; recommend corrective actions.
  • Document all work performed, including lock changes, combination resets, key issuance, and hardware maintenance.
  • Coordinate with physical security personnel, facility managers, and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with Navy and DoD physical security requirements.

Requirements

  • Prior experience supporting secure government, military, or industrial facilities.
  • Formal locksmith training, certification, or apprenticeship preferred.
  • A minimum Top Secret security clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/ SCI is required to be considered for this position.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A high school diploma or high school equivalent certificate.
