Job Description :
The Asset Protection Associate is responsible for the protection of the company's retail store assets by investigating the loss of asset(s) including merchandise, money and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within the assigned district of sixteen stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other LP tactics. The associate will work closely within the Asset Protection team and store team to identify opportunities at the store level and where resources should be focused and deployed.
Essential skills:
  • Financial/Core Functions: Detects and resolves internal and external theft incidents
  • Serves as the primary contact for any safety and security issues for stores in area of responsibility
  • Tours stores daily, identifying deficiencies and executing corrective action as necessary
  • Maintains awareness of high-risk areas in order to reduce/control merchandise losses
  • Reviews shrink best practices and execution of shrink reduction strategy drivers on store visits; checks areas such as rotation, backroom organization and additional follow up areas assigned by supervision
  • Reviews shrink reports and assists in reacting to issues and opportunities seen in assigned district(s)
  • Assists with preparation for NP inventories and attends NP inventories to assist with count audits and inventory paperwork
  • Burns videos for Risk Management, Liaison Supply Chain, C&S and investigations as needed
  • Submits electronic markdowns
  • Conducts focus walks and follow ups as necessary, including planning and executing training needs as identified (KLT, product rotation, CAO, receiving, front-end)Initiates service calls for locksmiths, keys and cores, alarms and CCTV
  • Assists in the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs
  • Ensures a store environment safe from theft and provides a secure destination to shop
  • Ensures stores are secure for associate safety from theft, internally and externally
  • Assists in the implementation and communication of company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs
  • Coordinates within Asset Protection team to ensure accurate and efficient deployment of resources
  • Assists with coverage for DST meetings and Asset Protection functions when Asset Protection Manger is available
  • Assists Asset Protection Manager with special projects
