What You'll Do
We are seeking a reliable Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician to join our 1st shift maintenance team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our machine reliability, ensuring our injection molding presses and support equipment run flawlessly. You will perform routine PMs, tackle basic repairs, and assist with exciting facility and machinery projects.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Equipment PMs: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to maximize uptime.
  • Auxiliary Support: Maintain and service critical support equipment including thermolators, chillers, material dryers, loaders, blenders, and granulators.
  • Basic Repairs: Diagnose and perform basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Special Projects: Collaborate with technicians on equipment installations, continuous improvement projects, and upgrades.
  • Record keeping : Accurately document all PM activities, parts used, and work orders within our digital maintenance tracking system (Maximo).
  • Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized work environment (5S) and strictly adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and all safety protocols.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs
  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stooping and performing repetitive tasks
  • Ability to use fingers, hands and arms to complete a task (dexterity)
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • All employees must wear approved safety glasses

What You'll Bring
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1-3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in an injection molding environment is highly preferred).
  • Technical Knowledge: * Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
    • Ability to read basic blueprints or schematics.
    • Familiarity with material handling and auxiliary equipment (preferred).
  • Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and a proactive attitude.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and safely navigate a bustling manufacturing floor.
