Financial Manager - Level 5
What You Will Be Doing
The Financial Manager - Level 5 will lead and develop a team of Program Finance professionals supporting F-16 Production contracts. A broad range of business acumen will be required for this position including a familiarity of business processes associated with Proposals, Contracts, Estimating, Financial Planning & Analysis, Independent Cost Estimating, Earned Value Management and others. This role provides strategic financial oversight and ensures disciplined execution of financial processes. You will partner closely with Program Managers, cross-functional stakeholders, and executive leadership to deliver accurate, compliant, and actionable financial insights that drive program success across the full lifecycle of F-16 production.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a finance team responsible for financial forecasting and program performance analysis.
- Lead a finance team responsible for proposal development, negotiations, and contract support.
- Responsible for program execution activities, profitability analysis, and OSEC (Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash) commitments.
- Responsible for Earned Value Management (EVM) and internal/external program reporting.
- Own overall financial performance management, including development, maintenance, and execution of program Estimates at Completion (EACs).
- Leadership of the Contract Status Review (CSR), Long-Range Plan (LRP) process, and monthly/quarterly financial reviews.
- Apply broad business acumen across proposals, contracts, estimating, financial planning & analysis, independent cost estimating, and earned value management.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Program Managers and functional organizations by providing accurate, compliant financial insight and actionable recommendations.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Program Managers and functional organizations by driving continuous improvement of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, ensuring clear, concise, and timely financial information that supports decision-making.

Who You Are
You are a seasoned finance professional with deep experience in government or aerospace program finance, particularly within production environments. You have a proven track record of building, developing, and inspiring high-performing finance teams, and you possess strong knowledge of proposals, contracts, cost estimating, financial planning & analysis, independent cost estimating, and earned value management. Your expertise includes managing program financial performance-overseeing Estimates at Completion (EACs), Corporate Statistical Review (CSR), Long-Range Planning (LRP), and OSEC metrics-while continually seeking ways to improve financial processes and reporting. As an excellent communicator, you can translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for program leadership and executive audiences. You thrive on partnering across multiple functions, aligning diverse stakeholders, and driving program success through disciplined financial stewardship.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience with leading, motivating or mentoring a diverse team of Program Finance professionals in a dynamic program environment.
- Experience with enterprise-level cost management tools (SAP, Cobra, Compass, Open Plan, etc.).
- Experience with Long Range Planning, contractual documents and requirements, Earned Value Management (EVM) and Program Financial Controls
- Experience with Lockheed Martin CSR process
Desired skills
-Experience in managing and analyzing cost and financial performance.
-Experience with financial planning and analysis, including budgeting and forecasting, OSEC, LRP
-Experience with production operations process
-Experience with proposal development and negotiations
-Effective communication skills; both oral and written
-Leadership experience in leading, motivating and mentoring a diverse team of Program Finance professionals in a dynamic program environment
-Familiarity with cost collection methodologies
-Familiarity with contract and proposal processes, including various contract types (e.g., FPIF, CPIF, FFP)
-Prior leadership experience (either direct line or matrixed)
-Experience with program management, including program execution and control
-Strong communication and project management skills
-Strong leadership and team management skills
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 - $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $122,000 - $211,485. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
