Job description

You will be the Wind Tunnel Engineer - Level 5 for the Aerodynamics Test Team which is responsible for delivering highfidelity windtunnel testing and aerodynamic research for large government, commercial, and laboratory facilities.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Wind Tunnel Engineer - Level 5 you will be responsible for providing senior technical leadership within onsite aerodynamic laboratories while contributing to longrange technical goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate with internal LockheedMartin customers to define test requirements, schedules, and technical approaches.
Lead windtunnel model design, fabrication, instrumentation, and installation using mechanicaldesign expertise and CATIA.
Oversee test execution, drive continuous improvement of test quality, hardware capability, and laboratory processes.
Maintain and enhance custom LabVIEWbased software, supporting dataacquisition, motioncontrol, and pressuremeasurement systems.
Plan and track project performance, budgets, and schedules while ensuring rigorous safety compliance.

Who You Are
You are a collaborative senior engineer with proven experience in windtunnel and aerodynamiclab environments. Your background includes strong mechanicaldesign foundations, handson model development, and proficiency with LabVIEW and CATIA. You excel at communicating complex technical concepts to customers and crossfunctional teams, mentor engineers at all levels, and champion safety and innovation.
