Locker Room Attendant Job Responsibilities:

  • Greets members and guests with a pleasant attitude and is welcoming to team and membership.
  • Informs membership of and promotes all events sponsored by the Wellness department.
  • Responds to members and or guests’ questions and concerns professionally, promptly, and courteously.
  • Opens and closes the facility when necessary.
  • Sanitizes locker room benches and countertops, bathroom stalls and shower stalls.
  • Maintains cleanliness of steam rooms.
  • Assists members with locker rentals and reports locking mechanism repairs.
  • Vacuums locker rooms daily.
  • Cleans mirrors in locker rooms and bathrooms as needed.
  • Maintains organized, fully stocked amenities in locker rooms.
  • Sanitizes showers, lockers, and bathroom stalls between member use.
  • Inspects locker rooms daily to ensure there are no malfunctions or imperfections.
  • Reports maintenance requests to leadership as needed.
  • Maintains a positive and cheerful attitude with employees, members, and guests.
  • Ensures proper stocking of eucalyptus spray for steam rooms.
  • Maintains towel laundry throughout shift to include washing, drying, rolling, and stocking towels at each towel station, locker room, and pools.
  • Completes daily checklists according to W.E.L.L. standards.
  • Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards. Responds to member emergencies according to emergency training and reports incidents to leadership in timely manner.
  • Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees.
  • Works variety of shifts, as needed to include nights, weekends and or holidays.
  • Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Locker Room Attendant Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current CPR, AED, First Aid certification or be able to complete within 30 days of employment.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations.
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively.
  • Must have the willingness to provide exceptional service to members and desire to provide leadership to position the department to achieve the mission.

Locker Room Attendant Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for 50% of workday.
  • Bending and stooping 80% of workday.
  • Stands and walks for 95% of workday.
