= Stockbridge, GA 30281

=R Contract Opportunity | Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm Potential
= Contract Duration: 06/07/2026 โ€“ 12/06/2026
< Night Shift: Sunday โ€“ Thursday | 8:30 PM โ€“ 5:00 AM (or until completion)

Position Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and dependable Lockbox Payment Processors to support high-volume Treasury Management and Wholesale Lockbox operations in a fast-paced production environment.

This role is responsible for opening, reviewing, processing, rejecting, and re-associating incoming mail and payments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to strict production deadlines and service level agreements.

Candidates with prior lockbox, payment processing, mailroom, banking operations, or high-volume production experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities Payment & Mail Processing
  • Open and extract contents from incoming mail and envelopes
  • Review customer instructions to determine proper processing procedures
  • Process, reject, and re-associate payments and documents accurately
  • Process Healthcare, Non-Healthcare, and Retail lockbox accounts
  • Verify checks using established negotiation procedures, including:
    • Payee name
    • Written dollar amount
    • Numeric dollar amount
    • MICR line
    • Restrictive endorsements and notations
  • Stamp and validate batches using processor ID procedures
  • Number checks and supporting documentation accurately
  • Attach check images to correct backup documentation
  • Prepare completed batches for outgoing mail operations
Quality & Production
  • Meet production quotas and mail-out deadlines
  • Review rejects prior to mail-out completion
  • Ensure compliance with all quality control procedures
  • Assist with root cause analysis regarding processing errors
  • Support achievement of departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Train and cross-train team members as needed
  • Perform additional operational duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • 1โ€“3 years of:
    • Lockbox experience
    • Payment processing
    • Mailroom operations
    • Production processing
      or related experience preferred
  • Basic computer and office equipment skills
  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under strict production deadlines
  • Ability to work overtime and holidays as needed
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screen

  • Bending, twisting, lifting, and turning throughout shift
