Position Summary:
Hiring Compensation Range: $21.92 to $24.11 per hour depending on qualifications.
Job Description
The position performs technical lock and key related work, including the adjustment, repair and replacement of cylindrical lock sets, mortise cylinder boxes, deadbolt lock sets, and desk/file cabinet locks. Responsible for sequencing and issuing keys to staff members, replacing lost keys, and identifying keys that have been found. Unlocks or secures doors in response to emergencies.
  • Documents and conduct repairs on campus locks and keys equipment.
  • Coordinates with campus team members to assess and solve College campus lock and keys issues.
  • Maintains accurate records of campus keys inventory and equipment. Make recommendations to replace and/or order supplies.
  • Monitors and maintain the current key system and related software.
  • Coordinates with vendors to facilitate work orders and projects. Prepares quote for approval and purchase.
  • Assists with staff trainings.
  • Perform other similar and related duties as assigned.

Job Duties
  • Maintains accurate records of keys issued to staff members; identify and re-fill keys turned in by staff and/or lost keys.
  • Manages daily operation of lock, key, and door department to include approving, assigning and assisting staff to execute work orders.
  • Coordinates with vendors for work orders as well as internal/external projects.
  • Utilizes the Key machine to include; key creation, key replacement, and lock repairs. Order materials for lock and key department.
  • Processes separation notice; obtain issued keys from staff, change locks as necessary.
  • Assists with staff training, prepare quotes for supervisor's approval.
  • Performs other and similar related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.
