\n As an Estimator with our Civil Team, you will:

  • Be responsible for all estimating aspects of the Tendering process;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Review tender documents to determine the scope of work, including project milestones and constraints;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Be responsible for having a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the tender documents, drawings, specifications, and addendum;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Assist the Senior or Chief Estimator in the development of competitive tenders;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Provide detailed estimates with complete quantity take\-off, including the scope of work;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Build level 1 schedule in MS Project with resources and project milestones;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Prepare final estimate summaries, analyzing each section for scope, pricing, and completeness;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Maintain files of working documents as back\-up for estimate data, including current and accurate information on prices from suppliers;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Participate in post\-bid interviews with operations team;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Provide leadership and establish and maintain compelling and harmonious relationships with all staff;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Increase EBC's brand and visibility in the GTA Market;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Assist the Senior or Chief Estimator and the Director, to ensure EBC meets the various milestones;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Establish and keep outstanding communications between subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants;
    <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Ensure chair internal bid review meetings with EBC's senior management.

    Requirements<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Previous experience in estimating civil construction projects;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience in heavy civil pricing work such as cofferdams, shoring, road construction, bridge rehabilitation, in\-water works;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience using estimating software and systems and capacity to adapt to new estimating software;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi\-task;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience with TPL Estimating software would be considered an asset;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Advanced skills in management, negotiation, communication, and problem\-solving;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Attention to detail and problem\-solving skills;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work;
      <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Estimate setup for job costing and job cost analysis of active and completed projects.

Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity.
