What can you look forward as a Program Buyer:
- Support projects through procurement of all materials needed for a particular end product
- Assist with the implementation of the ZF commodity strategies
- Support the whole purchasing process for new products or localization of existing products through supplier search, Bill of Material cost management; support the commodity organization in their request for quotations, commercial negotiations, contractual agreements including warranty and consignment agreements, prototype orders, and purchase orders and/or scheduling agreements.
- Help monitor supplier performance during program launch and through product life cycle
- Support continuous review of cost performance against targets and assist with Global Competitive Sourcing activities
- Analyze North American supply base to prepare and recommend suppliers to be added/removed from the approved supplier list as well as nominate suppliers for the Strategic Supplier List.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, Economics or related field.
0-1 Years of Experience in Purchasing
Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
Soft Skills: Assertiveness, ability to work in teams and manage projects remotely, solution-oriented thinking, independent and results-driven work approach, and negotiation skills.
Must be local to South Carolina
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now, or in the future.
