Job Title: CT Technologist

Specialty: Computed Tomography (CT)

Site: VASNHS, Radiology Department

Location: 6900 North Pecos Road, North Las Vegas, NV 89086-4400

Duration: 1 year contract with the option of 4 one-year extensions

Shift Schedule: Days, nights, weekends, holidays; swing/graveyard shifts possible; 40 hrs/week baseline

Credentialing/Onboarding Time: 6–8 weeks

Certifications:

  • ARRT (CT)
  • BLS (American Heart Association)

Special Skills Needed:

  • CT cross-sectional anatomy and computerized technical factors
  • Recognizing/characterizing abnormalities and ROI
  • Assisting invasive studies (needle localization, biopsy, CT angiography) and managing emergency crash cart/sedation drugs

Responsibilities:

  • Performing complex diagnostic CT scans of head/body
  • Interpreting and independently carrying out physician requests, including the most difficult exams
  • Overseeing lower-grade technologists on complex cases
