Procurement Associate Location: Charlotte, NC Job ID: #72439 Pay Range: $23-27 Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Onsite / Flexible About This Role: The Procurement Associate will be responsible for building short and long-term aftermarket strategy to support the Aftermarket RCD Business. The Procurement associate will establish a cross-functional network and fosters collaboration with suppliers, wider supply chain organization, engineering, quality, and product management in the aftermarket network. Job Description: Category Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive category strategy for Aftermarket parts, aligned with the organization's overall procurement and business objectives. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, potential risks, and emerging trends within the Aftermarket HVAC industry. Supplier Management: Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, localization, and relationship activities. Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of parts, materials, components, and products. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers. Manage pricing with regional vendors to protect the organization's interests while promoting mutually beneficial partnerships in a cross functional sourcing environment. Cost Optimization: Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within the Aftermarket parts HVAC category without compromising quality. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives. Supplier Performance Management: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues. Team Leadership: Build and lead Aftermarket assigned vendors on a high-performing cross functional team of procurement professionals. Provide guidance, strategy, and influence others. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Sourcing within large, international organizations, preferably in aftermarket or resales business 3+ years of Advanced user knowledge in MS Excel & Word 2+ years of experience in SAP and PowerBI Ability to travel in North America, up to 20% (international as needed) Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in supply chain, Business, or Engineering 3+ years of experience in Sourcing /Supply Chain for Aftermarket. Demonstrated track record of driving significant cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier optimization, and contract negotiation. Strong analytical and market research skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities while mitigating supply chain risks. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
