Are you looking for a stable local driving career that brings you home every single night? Airgas is seeking a dependable, customer-focusedLocal Delivery Driver to join our tight-knit team in Davenport, IA.

In this role, you will drive a modern, automatic curtain-side box truck to deliver industrial and medical compressed gas cylinders to established business partners across the Quad Cities and surrounding regional areas. You won't just be sitting behind the wheel"you'll serve as the face of Airgas, building relationships with our customers while ensuring safe, timely deliveries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cylinder Handling:Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations.

  • Record Keeping:Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt. Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling.

  • Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.

  • Warehouse Support:Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed.

________________________Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A or B with HAZMAT (or able to obtain within 90 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements

  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements

  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years

  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years

  • Must be able to work in a drug-free environment

  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment

  • Must have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience
