Job Overview

We are looking to add a Stainless Steel Welder to our team. Working a flexible schedule in a clean, climate-controlled shop with a team environment, you can expect to build custom designs using both TIG and MIG processes. 

Travel Requirements:

This position requires 100% travel to our Cokato, MN Headquarters. Typical travel rotation is 9 days on, including travel days, followed by 5 days off.  

What You'll Do

Read and interpret drawings

Read measurements to weld assemblies using a variety of measuring devices

Assemble components using a variety of powered and hand tools

Set up and adjust welding equipment to perform high quality welds 

Operate a variety of grinders to prepare, clean and finish welds 

Daily production goals based on schedule to ensure on-time, high quality project completion

Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

Perform Service Trips to local customer sites

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

TIG & MIG welding experience

Ability to read and interpret drawings

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent mathematical skills

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer

Preferred:

2 years' experience as a welder 

Experience with sanitary equipment fabrication

One or two year welding diploma from technical college or relevant welding experience

Knowledge of relative safety standards in the welding industry

Training:

All welding new hires will participate in APT's Welding Training Program to gain a thorough understanding of APT's welding standards and practices. This training will ensure you are fully prepared for success by familiarizing you with APT's high standards for quality and safety.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary range: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base compensation for this position. At APT, we are committed to offering compensation that is competitive and aligned with market standards, considering factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, and performance. As a result, compensation for the successful candidate(s) may fall anywhere within the stated range.
