Job Title: Welder

Job Description

This role focuses on performing custom welding in an American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) regulated environment that manufactures pressure vessels used to store flammable materials, including tanks for propane trucks. You will apply a variety of welding processes while working from blueprints to produce high-quality, structurally sound welds that meet strict safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform custom welding on pressure vessels in an ASME-regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Use flux core, sub arc, MIG, TIG, and stick (SMAW) welding processes to complete production and short-run welding tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints accurately to determine weld locations, dimensions, and specifications.
  • Complete weld tests in SMAW horizontal, SMAW vertical, and FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding) as part of the qualification process.
  • Apply Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) techniques to meet structural and quality requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulatory standards while working with flammable-material storage vessels.
  • Assist with various tasks on the production floor as needed, demonstrating a willingness to learn and support the team.
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces as required by the job, while maintaining safety and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within a large manufacturing facility.
