Job description

South Dakota's premier mechanical contractor is seeking qualified HVAC Service Technicians to service existing accounts and develop new accounts in the Sioux Falls, South Dakota market area. Our service technicians provide skilled service, repair, installation, and commissioning to a variety of new and existing HVAC mechanical systems in commercial, industrial, and manufacturing settings. Job Specifics:
  • Display quality customer Service skills.
  • Working knowledge of systems and troubleshooting
  • Capable of working independently
  • Strives for positive metrics results.
  • Completes preventative maintenance and repairs per work order requirements. Self performs the following duties in compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
  • Fully utilizes technology (tablet, smartphone) to:
  • Access and complete work orders including notes on services provided.
  • Create and submit Service Reports and Quality Inspection images and reports.
  • Submit timesheets & expense reports.
  • Obtains necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.
  • Creates a positive climate with the client, provides and generates customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains timely and consistent communications with customers and internal support teams.
  • Provide exceptional customer service with the goal of maintaining and strengthening client relationships and agreements.
  • Contribute and work well with a strong, enthusiastic team.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 1 or 2-Year HVAC Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must be a Member in good standing or willing and able to join Local Union #300.
  • Experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of building mechanical systems, including HVAC systems.
  • Two to five years of mechanical experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
  • Must possess applicable certifications, licenses, and valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.
  • Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulation, governmental agencies, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of and always comply with OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and Company Safety policies.
  • Daily local travel between properties.
  • Experience providing superior customer service.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to climb or balance. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
