Description of Responsibilities

• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic images are produced
• Efficiently operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, alerting supervisors of any malfunctions
• Accurately document procedures and maintain all patient records in the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related discipline
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Proficiency in sonographic imaging techniques and effective patient positioning
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
