Job description

The Zoom Public Sector Team seeks an Account Executive to sell the Zoom Workplace platform to State & Local Government accounts in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. This is a consultative, strategic selling role focused on AI initiatives and digital transformation.

In this role, you will engage with state CIOs, executive directors, IT and key Line of Business Leaders to help them modernize communication and collaboration with Zoom's AI-powered solutions.

Key to your success at Zoom will be strong prospecting and pipeline development, strategic account and territory management, and well-honed presentation skills. Understanding how to sell with and through the Channel is also important.

At Zoom, Enterprise Selling is a team effort - as a Public Sector Account Executive you will align, organize, influence and collaborate with your Zoom team mates - Solutions Engineers, Technology Specialists, Customer Success Managers and Specialist Engineers in service of your business, and our Customers. You will also collaborate, orchestrate and enable with our key Channel Partners to drive thought leadership and Enterprise sales cycle motions.

About the Team

As part of Zoom's Public Sector Sales team, you will expand our presence across State and Local Government Agencies and Entities. You will advocate the innovative power of our platform to make organizations more productive, collaborative, and mobile in the pursuit of delivering positive outcomes to their Constituents.

Responsibilities
  • Acquiring and growing State & Local Government accounts across Your Region; discovering and articulating key Use Cases that drive interest in Zoom and outcomes for our Customers
  • Leading with AI and digital transformation conversations—position Zoom's federated AI model and Workplace platform as strategic enablers for government modernization
  • Selling consultatively to key Government Personas
  • Selling Zoom Workplace with emphasis on AI, Cloud Voice and Contact Center
  • Building trusted relationships with executives, line of business decision makers, and IT leaders in state and local government agencies
  • Orchestrating and delivering thoughtful demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) that emphasize Zoom's capabilities and business outcomes
  • Navigating complex government procurement processes and long public sector sales cycles
  • Partnering with channel organizations to expand reach and accelerate adoption
  • Working strategically with management to deliver forecasts, identify trending opportunities/challenges, and provide recommended solutions
What we’re looking for
  • 7-10 years of Account Executive experience with consistent quota achievement
  • Experience selling to State & Local Government
  • Experience with AI and SaaS sales with a track record of consultative, solution-oriented selling
  • Consultative selling approach with ability to engage C-level executives on strategic initiatives
  • Experience managing and operating within government procurement and contracting cycles

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum: $200,700.00

Maximum: $447,900.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
