The Role

We are looking for a talented new business focused Public Sector Account Manager to drive new logo acquisition for TrendAI across the South of the UK. This is a hybrid role covering UK Public Sector customers, with a focus on sectors including Local Government, Housing, Higher Education, Healthcare, and other public sector bodies. We're ideally looking for candidates already based in the South of the UK, within reasonable travelling distance of key customer sites, with an expectation of being out in person with partners and prospects a minimum of twice weekly. Work-related travel is covered by the business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of TrendAI's cybersecurity solutions within the UK public sector, with a particular focus on Local Government, Housing, Higher Education, Healthcare, and other public sector organisations across the South of the UK.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Leadership team, you will define and execute new customer acquisition plans to meet and exceed quota through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing enterprise level sales opportunities with target accounts across the UK public sector.
  • You will be responsible for the whole sales cycle from start to finish - winning new accounts & developing the customer relationship and working with Technical & Customer Success teams to help onboard and take them on the TrendAI journey.
  • Leverage sales & marketing data, and use prospecting tools such as Cognism, Tussell, 6Sense and Sales Navigator to develop sales opportunities, open doors into new accounts, and drive customer engagement.
  • Work closely with SDR & lead generation / marketing team to turn sales and marketing leads into customer opportunities and sales action.
  • Co-sell and strategise with partners, distributors, and VAR's to enable rapid growth.
  • Provide management with feedback, territory business plans and sector focus to drive market opportunity/share and identification of new business opportunities across Local Government, Housing, Higher Education, and Healthcare.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and ensure close plan accuracy utilising MEDDPICC.
  • Provide accurate weekly forecasts and reports on activity and sales performance.
  • Effectively engage and build cooperative relationships with sales resources: SE, SDR, Channel, Marketing and specialist sales team and executives as required.
Experience
  • Proven track record of new logo attainment within the B2B Technology sector, with proven experience in Cybersecurity.
  • Experience selling into UK Public Sector organisations (Local Government, Housing, Higher Education, Healthcare, or similar) and familiarity with public sector procurement and tender processes is a nice to have, though not essential.
  • High levels of achievement against quota and experience developing new relationships with senior level executive level customers.
  • Strong personal gravitas and executive presence, with a proven ability to make an immediate impact with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to articulate a portfolio sale across products, solutions and services.
  • Can demonstrate strong sales skills and high level of technical and business acumen in both our industry and industry being sold into.
  • Direct field sales experience in working with end user accounts.
  • Able to work with cross functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to achieve sales quotas in target market by selling and closing complex solutions to end customers.
  • Strong negotiation & closing skills - able to engage, think on your feet and present business value to prospective customers.
  • Results-oriented with a passion for over-achieving sales targets.
  • A self-starter, very self-sufficient and confident in the ability to succeed in this new role.
