Job description


Are you a dedicated and safety-conscious driver with a passion for delivering excellent customer service? We're looking for skilled Drivers to join our team of Local Drivers. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are committed to maintaining high standards, we want to hear from you!

As a Local Driver, you will:

  • Ensure Safety: Operate safely and comply with all established HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, mid-trip, and post-trip inspections, reporting any defects.
  • Drive Responsibly: Adhere to speed limits and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain Logs: Keep accurate driver e-logs and e-maintenance logs.
  • Deliver Excellence: Provide outstanding customer service during pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Handle Cargo: Secure cargo for transport, verify proper placarding for HAZMAT, and prepare bills of lading.
  • Keep Clean: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the truck cab, trailer, windows, and mirrors.
  • Communicate Effectively: Stay in contact with dispatch to receive accurate instructions and report any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Perform Maintenance: Conduct basic vehicle maintenance and complete emergency roadside repairs if needed.
  • Assist in Loading/Unloading: Help with loading and unloading freight, spot and park trucks, and assist at the warehouse.
  • Operate Specialty Equipment: Bulk Local Drivers will handle bulkers, tankers, and ISO containers, as well as specialty hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Qualifications:

- Class A Commercial Driver's License with a valid Medical Card
- Hazardous Materials Endorsement is required and must be obtained within 30 Days of hire

- Must pass all Pre-Employment Screenings
