Job description
CTG is seeking a Document Scanning Operator Level 1 to support our client's Digital Imaging Center in Ashland, VA.
Location: Ashland, VA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm
Duration: Ongoing Contract
Pay Rate: $19.57/hr
This position supports daily imaging operations and helps ensure documents are processed accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare documents for scanning by removing staples, clips, rubber bands, and bindings
- Validate and reconcile boxes and files received for processing
- Scan documents using high-speed scanning equipment
- Perform visual quality checks to ensure images are clear and complete
- Insert separator sheets to organize documents during scanning
- Identify oversized or exception documents and escalate when necessary
- Index scanned images according to customer guidelines
- Follow safety and security procedures
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the lead or manager
- Move and handle boxes of documents as needed
- Load paper into scanning equipment
- Perform repetitive hand and finger movements during document preparation and scanning
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with document scanning, data entry, records management, or office support
- Familiarity with high-volume document processing
- Experience using MS Office and data entry tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in a secure environment
