Job description

Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B)

Linde Gas & Equipment Inc.

What you will enjoy doing:

  • Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
  • Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
  • Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
  • Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
  • Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives of the business and customer needs
  • Continuously build your knowledge on how Linde's business operates and succeeds to help organization to continue growing, plus other duties as assigned

What makes you great:

  • High school diploma or GED, along with proficiency in reading and writing in English
  • Two (2) years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School, along with a valid Class A or B CDL
  • This role requires you to be 21 years or older
  • Currently have a hazmat endorsement on your CDL or must obtain one within 60 days of hire
  • No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years
  • No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten (10) years
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
