Position Title:                   Delivery Driver

Reports To:                       Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor

The Role

Reporting to the Logistics and Warehouse Supervisor, the Delivery Driver represents Wholesome Kids Catering while safely delivering food items to childcare centres and other customers. The Delivery Driver ensures that the correct products are delivered to the correct customers according to the assigned route and delivery information. They follow customer-specific unloading instructions, collect empty bins and equipment for return to the Wholesome Kids Catering production facility, and communicate delays or delivery concerns promptly. The role may also support special catering deliveries and equipment pickups as operationally required.


Key Responsibilities

As a Delivery Driver, you will:

Delivery Operations & Customer Service

  • Deliver healthy and nutritious lunches and snacks to childcare centres and other customers according to assigned routes and schedules.
  • Verify that the correct products, quantities, bins, and equipment are loaded and delivered to the correct customer locations.
  • Assist with the organized and safe distribution and loading of products into delivery vehicles.
  • Complete pickups and deliveries between the production facility, customers, and other assigned locations.
  • Follow customer-specific delivery, access, unloading, and collection instructions.
  • Collect empty bins and equipment and return them to the Wholesome Kids Catering production facility for cleaning and reuse.
  • Handle boxes, products, bins, and equipment carefully to prevent damage, loss, or contamination.
  • Maintain professional, courteous, and service-oriented relationships with customers and internal team members.

Vehicle Safety, Food Safety & Compliance

  • Operate company vehicles safely and comply with all applicable traffic laws, company policies, and safe-driving requirements.
  • Conduct required vehicle checks and promptly report damage, maintenance concerns, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues.
  • Clean and maintain delivery vehicles in accordance with company standards and assigned schedules.
  • Assist with required HACCP monitoring and monthly reporting for delivery vehicles.
  • Follow food safety, temperature-control, product-handling, and health and safety procedures throughout loading, transportation, delivery, and return activities.
  • Perform duties safely while protecting employees, customers, the public, company property, and the integrity of the products being delivered.


Communication & Operational Support

  • Use the Driver App as required, including taking and uploading photographs when deliveries are completed.
  • Immediately report route delays, delivery discrepancies, customer concerns, incidents, injuries, vehicle issues, or other operational challenges to Dispatch or the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain accurate delivery information and complete all required records, confirmations, and reports in a timely manner.
  • Support special catering deliveries, equipment pickups, production activities, and other operational requirements as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's licence.
  • Clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong customer-focused decision-making skills.
  • Proactive and responsive problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • College diploma or university degree is considered an asset.
