Job description

TITLE: Delivery Driver Part Time DIVISION: Transportation

REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non- Exempt


COMPANY OVERVIEW

C&C Produce has operated the Midwest's Largest Produce Warehouse located in North Kansas City since 1992. We deliver fresh produce to schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities. We are looking for Hard-Working Regional Route Delivery Truck Drivers who are passionate about customer service and providing on-time deliveries to our valued customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Regional & Local Route Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various destinations within a designated region. This role involves driving a commercial vehicle, managing delivery schedules, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. The driver will interact with customers and represent the company in a professional manner.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • Local Route: 5 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Regional Route: 3 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Schedule: Minimum 2 days a week
  • Average Weekly Hours: 12-30 hours

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transport Goods: Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to specified destinations on regional and local routes.
  • Delivery Management: Adhere to delivery schedules, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Ensure timely delivery of fresh produce to various locations including schools, restaurants, grocery stores, distribution centers, and healthcare facilities.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Load and Unload: Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo. Use a 2-wheel dolly for deliveries to locations without docks.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues or repairs needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, including logbooks, delivery receipts, and any other required documentation.
  • Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including DOT regulations, and ensure compliance with local and federal laws. Maintain a clean and accident-free driving record.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • At least one year of DOT route driving experience with a truck 26ft or greater.
  • Clean driving record with no vehicle accidents in the past 3 years.
  • Air Brakes Endorsements preferred.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs and work in varying temperatures.
  • Excellent driving skills, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Physical job demands testing required.

PAYS SCALES & ROUTES

  • Local Routes (5am-5pm, KC Area - SKC to Gardner, 15-25 stops):
    • Class E or C (Non-CDL): $19.00- $20.00/hr ($61,750 - $65,000 Annually)
    • Class B: $19-$21/hr ($61,750 to $68,250 Annually)
    • Class A: $21-$25/hr ($68,250 $81,250 Annually)
  • Regional Routes (3am-5pm, as far as STL, Wichita, Iowa, Omaha, 10-15 stops):
    • Class E or C (Non-CDL): $72,800 - $85,800 Annually
    • Class B: $75,400 $85,800 Annually
    • Class A: $80,600 - $85,800 Annually
  • Regional Tractor Trailer (Dispatch 12am-5am):
    • Class A: $80,600 - $85,800 Annually
