Your Opportunity:
The Order Entry NameList Associate is an important part of the team supporting high schools, colleges and other educational institutions (our customers). As a member of the Order Entry sub-team, you will be responsible for daily review of orders from customers and Herff Jones Independent Sales Partners (ISPs); these orders are delivered through our web-based ESKO portal. Preparing orders with accurate information to prevent changes is a critically important function of this role, so attention to detail is crucial. Data entry OF THE Name List is the first step of many in ensuring high-quality products go timely from our manufacturing environment to our customers.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Understand who we are at Herff Jones, and why customers come to us
  • Gain a high-level understanding of the flow of products and processes
  • Build relationships with Customer Service Agents and understand their needs as it relates to your role
  • Become proficient in performing basic operations in our ERP system (Oracle) independently
  • Review daily orders and prioritize the order entry process
  • Verify and double check each order for order accuracy and completion of other numerical details
  • Compare order details provided with the prepared package content before the product ships
  • Operate independently and serve as a subject matter expert for your order book
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ERP system (Oracle) for basic and advanced tasks, to meet or exceed customer need dates
Core Activities:
  • Drive sales in both new and existing markets, with multiple products
  • Present compelling presentations to students, parents and key decision makers
  • Develop trusted and loyal business partnerships both externally and with our internal partners
  • Attend regularly scheduled sales and technical training meetings, including area, regional and national sales conventions for the purpose of learning products, industry trends, programs, and processes
  • Call assigned customer and prospect schools in the territory on a regular basis to effectively increase market penetration and meet sales growth goals
  • Develop and execute robust marketing campaigns in all prospects and accounts
  • Become an ongoing trusted specialist with your customers, utilizing value-add programs to deliver solutions
Success Indicators:
  • Ability to operate a personal computer in a Windows environment, including applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Chrome browser
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills are REQUIRED for this role
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system such as Oracle is preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to notice errors and discrepancies
  • Familiarity with digital filing skills
  • Strong math skills
  • Demonstrate success managing multiple processes and tasks with strong organizational skills
  • A positive attitude with a focus on learning the complete product cycle to better serve customers (schools and administrators) and Independent Sales Partners
  • Work in a team environment with a positive attitude and perform other assigned tasks to meet the team's overall delivery goal
Education / Certifications Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree - Business, preferred
  • Work experience in lieu of degree considered
Physical Requirements:
  • Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
  • Reading, communication, math.
  • Working at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above
