Job description

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations and serve as the primary link between field activities and project stakeholders. This individual will oversee all aspects of field coordination, ensuring project delivery aligns with safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations.

Experience in masonry, doors. Experience with the following; telephone equipment rooms, data centers, electrical infrastructure, and chiller plant installations is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the on-site construction team to ensure efficient and effective execution of work.
  • Coordinate and oversee all subcontractor activities and field operations.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to ensure adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Attend and contribute to production and coordination meetings with internal teams and clients.
  • Interpret and manage construction schedules, identifying potential delays and developing mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain strict quality control and assurance procedures to meet client and design standards.
  • Oversee material procurement, delivery schedules, and inventory control for site materials and equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and OSHA compliance on the job site at all times.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation, including daily reports, RFIs, field orders, and progress photos.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and inspection agencies to facilitate timely approvals and project closeouts.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years preferred) as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in commercial or infrastructure construction.
  • Direct field experience in data centers, telecom facilities, or MEP-intensive environments strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, PlanGrid, or similar).
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple trades.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Deep knowledge of construction safety regulations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, technical specs, and shop drawings.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working in fast-paced, schedule-sensitive environments.

Preferred Credentials:

  • OSHA 30 Certification
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • NCCER, PMP, or other industry certifications are a plus
  • Familiarity with TIA, NEC, and ASHRAE standards (especially for telecom/data projects)
