Position Description
Job Overview:
  • We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Concrete Laborer to assist with various concrete construction projects. The Concrete Laborer will support the team in tasks such as preparing construction sites, pouring, spreading, and leveling concrete, and performing general labor activities. This is a hands-on role that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the setup of forms, rebar, and other preparations for concrete pours.
  • Mix, pour, and spread concrete manually or using machinery.
  • Use hand and power tools to finish and smooth concrete surfaces.
  • Help with the placement of formwork, shoveling, and raking concrete during pours.
  • Safely operate equipment such as jackhammers, mixers, and other concrete-related tools.
  • Ensure proper curing of concrete by applying chemicals or coverings as directed.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas after projects are completed.
  • Assist concrete finishers and other skilled tradespeople as needed.
  • Follow all safety regulations, including wearing protective gear and reporting hazards.
  • Load, unload, and move materials around the job site as required.
  • Perform other general construction labor tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience as a concrete laborer or general laborer in construction preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools (hammers, shovels, trowels, etc.).
  • Willingness to follow directions and learn new skills.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods, including bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
  • Certifications:
  • OSHA 10/30 certification preferred but not required.
